A few years ago I returned to my old haunt... MCAS El Toro.  El Toro was my first duty station where I was attached as a Marine to VMFA-121 - the Green Knights.  The Clinton administration saw fit to close many bases across the country and El Toro was one of the unfortunate casualties.  Seated just north of the beautiful city of Irvine, El Toro was a wonderful place to live.  And I will forever be proud of my time spent there - clinging to the memories of that place for all time.

This video shows footage (using old video camera) of MCAS El Toro prior to its demolition.  I was not supposed to be there.  A small part of the base was being used as a temporary educational facility for the University of California.  Visitors were allowed in and out from the gates for educational purposes only.  I am not certain how I was allowed on in the first place.  I guess this was meant to be.  Enjoy.

Moby - My Weakness

This song is very moving to me.  Seems to tap into the heart of my emotions.

Moby - Memory Gospel

Another great song - one of my faves.

Moby - Porcelain

Might recognize this song from the Leonardo DiCaprio movie The Beach.  Excellent song.

Vangelis is a musical mastermind.  A prodigy to be certain.  His music has been heard in several movies: Blade Runner, Alexander, Chariots of Fire, and Antarctica to name a few.

This title "Twilight" is from The City compilation.  I feel the song is very similar in style to that found on the Blade Runner soundtrack.

Push play... close your eyes... and relax.

This is actually Yanni's music.  He and Ric Wake gathered together 4 phenomenal singers in the hit new releases "Voices" and "Voces".  Chloe's music is absolutely beautiful with it's haunting rhythmic melodies.

Chloe's "Change" is very moving.
